Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Professional, well qualified Private Household Chef is required to cook for a highly regarded family of 5 and their guests. The family seek a confident and experienced chef who can prepare a wide range of international cuisines to a high standard. Any professional experience of cooking Middle Eastern food is an advantage and the family like a variety of cuisines including Mediterranean, Asian, French, Italian and similar. Meals will be healthy, flavourful, visually pleasing, and should include proteins (no pork or pork products) and a vegetarian option. The position requires a chef with high standards, professionalism, flexibility and utmost discretion. An understanding and respect of the cultural restrictions of living in Saudi is essential. Flexibility is essential for this role. As a guide the chef will work 6 days a week and hours are as required to ensure the cooking requirements for the family are met. Nice, well-appointed staff accommodation is provided and there will be an English speaking nanny/governess also employed in the same household. 30 days of paid annual holiday to be taken by prior arrangement in one block. Start ASAP but will wait for the right person. Salary: up to USD 3,000 per month (tax-free zone) plus yearly return flight for vacation purposes.
